The Hamburg game developer fills important positions
Goodgame Studios has made great progress towards its targeted growth from 100 to 250 employees by obtaining experienced professionals for central key positions.
The latest addition to the team is Bettina Korb as Head of Community Management. She has years of experience in the gaming industry and most recently served as Content & Community Manager at dtp entertainment. “With Bettina Korb we have brought an excellent department head on board. She is characterized by her strong communication skills and is going to ensure that our players and fans will receive an even better service and therefore a completely satisfying gaming experience,” says CEO Dr. Kai Wawrzinek.
The position of Senior Product Manager has been staffed with Olliver Heins (formerly Producer and Project Lead at Bigpoint). In addition, Sirko Rückmann (formerly game designer at Ticking Bomb Games) and Benjamin Plass (formerly Product Manager at Mail.ru Games) will also assume product manager responsibilities. “We are thrilled to be able to welcome three such experienced new employees, who already proved themselves in other large projects, to our company all at once. I am sure that our current team will bring the products of Goodgame Studios to an entirely new level in a very short amount of time by further developing our already successful titles and supervising new projects,” says Dr. Christian Wawrzinek, Goodgame Studios‘ COO.
The flash department has found a new Lead in Dirk Köhler, who also comes from Bigpoint. CTO Stefan Klemm is pleased about the additional support. “Dirk Köhler has all the experiences that make an excellent Lead. He is not only technically very versed, but also has the ability to impart his knowledge to others and the talent to push an already highly motivated team even further.”
The human resources department was able to reward itself for its successful work with its own new employees. Melanie Adam (formerly Account Manager at Hays AG) and Inken Petersen (Personnel Officer at GreyLogix GmbH) expand the team around Head of HR Hendrik Mainka: “Both offer a lot of know-how in personnel development and recruitment. Starting immediately, they will extend our collaborations with universities and strengthen our recruiting team.”
Furthermore, Goodgame Studios was able to hire new employees in the areas of business development, country management, quality assurance, community management, balancing, data analysis as well as Java, PHP and Flash programming. Nevertheless, all departments are still looking for further personnel, and many senior positions are still open for experienced professionals. In total Goodgame Studios is still looking to fill more than 100 vacant positions.
