Goodgame Empire and Empire: Four Kingdoms receive the biggest update of the year with Generals & Skills
The brand-new content update “Generals & Skills” provides Goodgame Empire, the most successful German strategy game of all time, and its mobile spin-off Empire: Four Kingdoms, with an extraordinary feature in a class of its own. Players can look forward to a fundamental revision of the battle system and to unique generals with individual skills.
The newly released generals include the veteran Horatio, the lone lancer Toril, the island trader Alyssa, and Leo, the wildland hunter, with his falcon Ayala. To help the player get started with the new game mechanics, Horatio is the first general available, while other generals can be unlocked gradually as the game progresses.
Each general has dedicated abilities that strengthen their troops and can be used defensively or offensively depending on personal preference. In addition, the combat system has been reworked and now offers the player a more detailed planning overview as well as a more intensive tactical alignment in interaction with the generals and their skills.
“The Generals & Skills feature provides our players with a comprehensive customization of the combat system and enhances the tactical immersion of the game,” emphasized Oleg Roessger, CEO and Managing Director of Goodgame Studios, adding, “The new generals and skills give Goodgame Empire and Empire: Four Kingdoms an unprecedented depth of play.”
“Our development team has done a great job over the last few weeks and I’m sure our community will have a lot of fun with this update,” underlines Benjamin Völkel, Vice President Live Operations at Goodgame Studios.
The release of the new content is supported by a dedicated online marketing campaign, partner collaborations, support in the app stores and a TV campaign. Both game versions will continue to receive monthly updates and additional generals will be released on a regular basis.
