If you’ve ever been involved in developing a mobile game, you’re surely familiar with Unity. Many current mobile games for smartphones, tablets, and more have been developed using the game engine, and we also use it to develop our games. This week, we partnered with Innogames to host Hamburg’s second Unity Meetup – even the sunny weather couldn’t keep around 100 people from enjoying an evening socializing in our café.
Do you know what a ground squirrel is? Ground squirrels are cute rodents from the squirrel family found in North America, Eurasia, and Austria. This peaceful little guy loves the mountains, enjoys a predominantly vegetarian diet, and is unfortunately an endangered species. However, today’s blog is about another type of squirrel.

Last week, we enjoyed one of these programming marathons when several teams from our web development department hosted their first Code Jam at Goodgame Studios. Parties bring us together, and since we Goodgamers place a high value on working in a friendly atmosphere, we have already established a solid party tradition despite our young age. At this year’s summer party, teamwork also played a key role. First we all had to work in teams to master tricky challenges on a scavenger hunt through Hamburg, and then we relaxed and came together for an evening packed full of food, music, and dancing. Over the weekend, our colleagues Lucas, Jens, and Jörg made their way to the beautiful Frankfurt am Main. The bustling German city played host to 70 dedicated fans of our successful game Empire: Four Kingdoms, and we didn’t want to miss out on this great chance to meet our fans and hear their helpful feedback. We’re always grateful for any praise or criticism regarding our new updates or support team because these show us where we can make our game even better. Read more
We value not only our employees, but also their families. That’s why our feelgood team invited every Goodgame family to our GOOD Family Summer Party on Thursday evening. This wasn’t the first time we’ve hosted a family-friendly event like this. In December last year, we hosted the GOOD Family Advent to the joy of many of our colleagues, their partners, and their little ones. However, since Santa Claus in July might cause a bit of confusion, this time the more than 100 guests – including many children – enjoyed an evening of summertime entertainment. Read more
